At JD Equine Dental, Growing up around horses due to my father's passion for a good-looking well-built pony and the love of breeding them, i was lucky enough to have my own pony before I enter the world. At the ripe age of 15 I set my eyes on becoming a jump jockey. I joined the racing academy and was lucky enough to get a break. i started off riding in point to points for some years. i eventually turned conditional and rode competitively in Ireland for two years before jumping across the ocean to the UK. i have worked and rode for many of the country's best trainers. My expiernce dealing with a vast amount of thoroughbreds puts me in the perfect position to master my craft as an equine dentist. in 2019 i had a major knee injury which slowed down my career as a jump jockey and with the help of JETS i went on to study and practice equine dentistry.I am now a full member of WWAEDWorld Wide Association of Equine Dentist

Can't recommend enough, super quiet and patient with my 2 horses. Both of which have never been treated without sedation. Jay allowed both horses to have a really nice expiernce.

Jay has just been out to follow up on an appointment with my new youngster. Otto had to have a follow up appointment after having quite a lot of work done 6 weeks ago by my trainers dentist. (Who was also very good but now miles away)Jay confirmed the issues which had been sorted and took the next step to ensure Otto’s teeth are heading in the right direction. Otto is quite nervous and still a little head shy, so just to keep everyone safe and a pleasant experience for Otto, we had him sedated. This didn’t stop Jay making great friends with Otto and earning much needed trust prior to the vet attending. The whole experience is just the perfect positive encounter every nervous/young horse should 100% have. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jay for horse dentistry, also has a great background knowledge in the equine industry, as worked in the racing industry for years, so an absolute natural round the horses.
